The Anonymous Revolution For Lower Gasoline Consumption As a follower and volunteer coordinator for Aaron Russo in 2006 I got targeted for my patriotic actions. I was a wee bit too high on the radar. . Award winning film producer Russo was blowing the whistle on the Federal Reserve and the Internal Revenue System in his documentary film "America - Freedom to Fascism". I was successful in coordinating some key actions in Los Angles including a meeting with Aaron and the other volunteers and participation in a peace march which featured Cindy Sheehan, Ron Kovic and Ghandi’s grandson where we marched with signs saying "Want to End The Iraq War? Shut Down The Federal Reserve". The Painfully Slow Progress Of Energy Alternatives It has long been evident to policymakers that oil is not in infinite supply and that we need real solutions for that and for the damage being done to our environment. In fact, wind and solar power have gained significant footholds in some parts of the world. A number of other sane energy options have already been developed and even tested out in university and corporate laboratories. In view of the reality of how fast that these solutions need to be advanced into widespread useage, though, we are lagging way behind. We are simply moving way too slowly if we hope to avoid a global train wreck in the not too distant future. Demand Is Down, Fossil Fuel Prices Are… Up? We all know that the prices of gas and diesel are skyrocketing What’s Worse Than Fossil Fuel? Ethanol! While the hysteria continues to mount about global warming all sorts of “solutions” are being advanced and some are more harmful than others and some are even more harmful than fossil fuels!. Biofuel, as you probably know or can guess from the name, is any energy source derived from living organisms of any kind. The most common biofuel is a blend of gasoline called E85, and this is a mixture in a ratio of 15:85 gasoline:ethanol. However, the gasoline and ethanol is variable based upon the outside temperature so its more or less gas in the mixture depending on the time of year in most areas of the United States. During cold weather, more gasoline needs to be added to the mixture to ensure the fuel works properly, so E85 is at least 70% ethanol. Water4Gas – A Real Solution Many people are searching for effective ways to save money on gas. And this number is increasing as the price of gas goes up. Of course, there are many types of routine maintenance things that you can do to your car to help get more gas mileage out of it. These maintenance practices include spark plug maintenance, proper oil grade choices, and being sure to maintain proper air pressure in your tires. And although all of this helps, there are still other solutions, like installing a hydrogen gas saver, that can improve and reduce your gas consumption even further. Opposing Privatization Of America’s Roads "Everything The Bush administration is doing is designed to drive things to privatization," Rep. Peter DeFazio, Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure highways and transit subcommittee told the Washington Post. DeFazio was referring to the Bush administration and its appointees at DOT who the paper says, are taking every last step to move the national transportation infrastructure towards ownership by corporations instead of the government and therefore facilitate the creation of many more pay per use toll roads. Bush, Bernanke, McCain And The Energy Non-Crisis The rapidly rising cost of gas and oil are crippling the budgets of middle class Americans. Bush doesn't seem to care. And it doesn’t appear that John McCain does either. Bush's only answer to solving the energy situation is to drill for more oil and blame the problem China. McCain is much more knowledgeable in his solution: McCain calls for drill for more oil and build nuclear power plants, and blame China and also the terrorists. But neither will address a major culprit in the sudden increase in oil futures and gasoline prices -- the sharp fall in value of the American dollar. Bush, Bernanke, McCain And The Pain At The Pump The rapidly rising cost of gas and oil are crippling the budgets of middle class Americans. Bush doesn’t appear to be interested in a way out of the mess. Nor does John McCain. Bush's every response to energy problems is to increase the dependency on foreign oil and blame the problem China. McCain has a more evolved solution: McCain calls for drill for more oil and build nuclear power plants, and blame China and also the terrorists. But neither will offer any real solutions to a major culprit in the shocking spike in oil futures and gasoline prices -- the steep plunge of the American dollar. Viewpoints On The Economy And Energy I grabbed these short statements off of random online discussion boards randomly. Now that I look at them I have to say that these people impress me. It appears that a good number of people on the net who are amazingly aware and knowledgeable.
