Adjustable beds have been designed specially for your comfort. The special features they offer have made them superior to other beds.

If you have ever noticed, your body isn't flat. Whether your back or knees, they are slightly curved. Hence when you tend to sleep on flat mattress, you end up without enough support.

Adjustable beds then came in, to offer the shape which could perfectly suit your body. They support the body well when compared to the flat beds. This is because they allow you to sleep in natural sleeping position which has high health benefits.

As the name suggests they are adjustable. You are provided with manual or electric controls to change your bed to various positions. Unlike the flat beds which are basically designed for sleeping, these adjustable beds offer numerous positions. You can sit, watch TV, read books or carry on with your office work. Everything is comfortable.

Electric adjustable beds are controllable by remote controls. Hence sitting on your bed you can adjust the various positions and relax. All you need to do is just push a button. Most adjustable beds are also provided with wheels which help move them easily. Some can even be assembled and disassembles easily. Hence you can keep it away for some time when you are not using it.

Some electric beds offer heat treatment and massage through vibrations. This is very useful for patients with severe pains. Massage works wonders and helps complete relaxation of the body.

Adjustable beds use special type of mattresses. They are either made of foam or air. Due to this the beds adjust to your body shape and helps relieve pressure from your body. These mattresses bend easily and hence suit the adjustable beds.

Use of adjustable beds is very useful even for elderly people and children. These beds allow you to adjust the height according to your need. Hence you can make it as short as you wish. This helps children and elderly people get in and out of bed easily. They are of great help even to the disabled.

These beds allow you to elevate at the head and foot of the bed. This helps in various medical conditions like back pain, improper blood circulation, asthma, acid reflux disease and many other health problems.

Some of the disadvantages of adjustable beds are that they are very heavy compared to flat beds. They even come with a very hefty price tag. Hence it is quite difficult for every one to afford for it.

But if one could afford to buy it, it is definitely a good buy, worth the price.
