How do we summarize 100 years of advancement of mankind Back in the 1940s, an older Jewish man could have gotten accepted into a residents home once he reached the terribly old age of ...35! So, certainly we have made progress in terms of longevity.
I always considered that fact to be something that would never be surpassed as a measuring stick between then and now that made a real statement about change.

The way that I look at it is that if the car manufacturers had done nothing for 100 years we would be in 40% better condition!
In what other sector of society or industry can you see such a staggeringly incompetent statistic?
